NEW KODAK STACCATO NX SCREENING TECHNOLOGY
STACCATO® screening allows the user to build halftones using a regular and consistent pattern. Its use reduces graininess and dot gain, providing access to the whole tonal curve.
Implementing STACCATO® screens eliminates the occurrence of moiré patterns and rosettes. STACCATO® technology also reduces grayscale limitations and sudden tonal shifts, while improving color depth.
But the most important advantage of using this screening technology is the ability to print tonal grids of objects in five, six, or seven colors. This means that we can print a photo of our product in CMYK and add some additional colors, e.g. Green or Orange. The colors of such printouts are very vivid colors, which cannot be achieved with the use of traditional screening, e.g. MAXTONE® in flexographic printing.
We have several different STACCATO® screens available in different resolutions.
They possess unique and regular patterns, which are repeated for process and additional colors. These patterns create smooth tonal transitions free from undesirable artifacts.
We will assist you in testing and choosing an appropriate STACCATO® pattern. Next, after consultations, we will implement one or several to achieve the desired effect.
